so useful, I love the wood shader as well. Blender would be lucky to have these types of easy shaders by default.

I'm confused. Why does your node look that way? I'm new to Blender (about 6 months), but not to 3D design. How did you get the node setup to look that way? Is this an add-on?

If you're feeling brave, click on the "metal" node and hit the tab key. That will show you the guts of the shader. Note that this is like edit mode for nodes, and is the same hotkey as for shapes in your scene. Clever, isn't it? :)

Well, I took a look at the setup. Can you point me towards some detailed tutorials on how to set these nodes up? I get the gist in that I should set them up from "right to left", but I'm failing to find good tutorials on the topic.
