its cool and makes me wonder about many thing
1- I saw some light rays , I dont know if that was rendered with cycles or not! I would be happy to know how you achieved that look .
2- while the robot was sliding (it was a great demonstration of the forces ), did you use a simulation for that or was it all hand animated , cuz I know its really 1st strong effect and not easy to do , even using simulation .
3- quadrupeds animation shows that you have advance animations skills , I would be happy to know either you used an animated cycle for it or was it all had animated from start to finish .
4- finally I want to know how much time this took from you ?, and what was the hardest part for you ? , and what you advice people who wanna tackle this type of scenes .
and thanks ;)
1st of all nothing was rendered in cycles , you can simply get that light rays effect with spotlights
all demolition in that video was done with particles and bit of simulation using game engine
about animation . buddy all things were animated from start to end .. nothing was pre-made
it took me 2 days to complete it and hardest part was to maintaining the old sintel look after adding robo and to tackle this kind of scenes .. take break for 1-2 days gather lots of reference prepare your mind for your shot and then go for it .... outcome will be surely great
